​Mr. Curtis Hoover Brown

Mr. Curtis Hoover Brown 88, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born August 1, 1928 in Surry County to the late Lloyd Filamore and Annie Clement Brown. Left to cherish his memories are his wife; Mamie Brown of the home, three daughters and a son-in-law; Sandra and Tommy Boles, Patricia Carpenter, Dianne Tate, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a brother; Robert Brown, and a sister; Lucy Leonas. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday June 19, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with services conducted by Pastor Tommy Nichols and Pastor Dale Bass. Entombment will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until time for the service at the funeral home.
