​Mr. Randall Wayne Sanderlin

Mr. Randall Wayne Sanderlin, 65, of Ararat, NC passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bertie County on April 25, 1952 to the late William Thomas and Mamie Kirkland Sanderlin. Known as “Bebo” to his grandkids, Wayne was a loving spouse and father. Wayne, “Bebo” enjoyed every minute with his family. Wayne never met a stranger, and will be truly missed by his friends and family. Wayne’s staple was being a hard worker, with a diverse background in many trades including agriculture, carpentry, cooking, and cars. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge, yet was not afraid to try something new. Wayne will be remembered for all these things but most of all, for his kind heart. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sandra of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Megan and Michael Penny, Lee Ann and John Garner; step son and daughter in law, Jacob and Brandi Thompson; seven grandchildren, Bryce and Landon Thompson, Gatling and Lelia Penny, Caroline, Charlie, and Samantha Garner; sisters and brother–in-law, Gayle Russell, Jean and Billy Sapp; brothers and sister-in-law, Larry and Nell Sanderlin, Russell Sanderlin as well as several nieces and nephews and many special friends. In addition to his parents Mr. Sanderlin was preceded in death by his second dad, Bud Outlaw; sister, Joy Demofonte; special niece, Leslie Watts. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Little Mountain Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Bill Watson . The family will recieve friends from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the church. The The family would like to extend a big thank you to Dr. Urmos for many years of wonderful service as well as the staff at Mountain Valley Hospice for all the care given during Wayne’s Illness.
