​Mrs. Loma Lee Bobbitt Money

Mrs. Loma Lee Bobbitt Money, 77, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born February 5, 1940 to the late Loman and Annie Lillian Bobbitt. Mrs. Money was a retired school bus driver for Surry County Schools where she drove for Franklin Elementary School. Mrs. Money also retired from Roses of Mt. Airy, and was dedicated to her community by delivering for Meals on Wheels as long as her health permitted. She was a member of Mt. Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 73 years and was faithful as long as her health permitted. Left to Cherish her memories are a daughter and son-in-law; Misti and Brad Puckett, three sons and a daughter-in-law; Manford and Libby Money, Michael Money, Mitchell Money, eight grandchildren; Zack Puckett, Stephanie Winslow, Cagney Money, Chelsea Lindsay, Kasey Money, Michelle Gray Money, Nicole Jones, Eric Jones, eight great-grandchildren, a sister; Jackie Payne, as well as two brothers and sisters-in-law; Jimmy and Shelby Bobbitt, Tim and Carolyn Bobbitt. In addition to her parents Mrs. Money was preceded in death by her husband Guy Banner Money and a grandson Little Michael Money, and a great-grandchild; Cayden Seth Morton. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Mt. Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church with services conducted by Rev. Albert Everidge and Rev. Brian Frazier with burial to follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the church where her body will remain until time for the service.
