​Mrs. Mildred Jeanette Moss Moore

Mrs. Mildred Jeanette Moss Moore, 74, of Mount Airy passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born March 24, 1943 to the late William Edgar and Dora Bell Phillips Moss. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory is a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jeff Utt; three grandchildren, Trent Hatcher and wife Katie, Bill Billingsley, Heather Billingsley; great-grandchild, Hannah Janea Sparks; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Reta Moss, sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Jimmy Inman, Glenda and Larry Parker, Mary and Bobby Gwyn, Fran and John Winters, Vicky and Mike Matthews; special friends, Bett Sparks and Mary Ann Puckett, Dana Hunter, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Moore; two brothers, Leon Moss and Michael Moss. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Flippin Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Burton and the Rev. Wayne Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the home place 138 N Crosswinds Drive, Mt. Airy NC 27030. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of the service at the church.
