​Mrs. Blanche Irene Hodges Sprinkle

Mrs. Blanche Irene Hodges Sprinkle, age 90, of Mount Airy, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Wednesday morning, June 28, 2017. Mrs. Sprinkle was born in Surry County on May 17, 1927, to Eldridge Pierce and Ada Lankford Hodges. She was retired from Spencer’s and was of the Baptist faith. Left to cherish her memory are daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Leroy Pack, and Kathy and Kennis Burkhart Jr.; grandsons, Kennis “Kenny” Burkhart III and wife, Brandi, and Dr. Brian Burkhart; one great grandchild, Kennis “Cash” Sidney Burkhart IV. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sprinkle was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Sprinkle; a daughter, Gail Hodges; a son, Donald Hodges; and her brothers, Roy Hodges and Richard Hodges. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens with the Rev. Tim Burton officiating.
