​Mrs. Mary Sylvanie Pell Utt

Mrs. Mary Sylvanie Pell Utt, age 82, of Mount Airy Passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born January 9, 1935 to the late Walter Ray and Betty Jane McBride Pell. Mrs. Utt was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memories are a daughter, Sheila Utt Davis; five grandchildren, Kenneth Mark Davis, Joshua Lee Utt and wife Kelly, Kevin Michael Davis and wife Amanda, Justin Michael Utt, Michelle Lynn Utt, as well as seven great grandchildren; a sister Bessie Hall; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hurley and Peggy Pell, Aleene Pell, Dempsey Ray and Susan Pell; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Utt was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Utt; a son Michael Lee Utt; three brothers, Bobby, Clyde and Burr Pell; a sister, Dessie Kirkman. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Flat Ridge Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Dennis Bledsoe. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
