Edna Harold

Mrs. Edna Frances Wilson Harold, 84, of Ararat, VA, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mrs. Harold was born June 2, 1937, in Surry County, to the late Jessie Raleigh and Mary Ann Greenwood Wilson.  Edna was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Edna served many years in the Blue Ridge Rescue Ladies Auxiliary and was a faithful member of Willis Gap Baptist Church while her health allowed.  Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 62 years, Bruce Edwin Harold; a son, Ronnie Edwin Harold; a sister-in-law, Martha Wilson; a niece; two nephews; along with a special friend, Blanche Willis.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harold was preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Wilson Hodges and Josephine Wilson Collins; and a brother, Coy Wilson.  The funeral service will be held Monday, June 21, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Josh Jenkins officiating.  Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
