Jeffrey Dewayne “Jeff” Fackler, age 58, passed away June 13, 2021 at his home after a battle with lung cancer that had metastasized to his brain. Jeff was born January 28, 1963 in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Lenwood and Colene Fackler.
Jeff worked for Koger Air, American Furniture, the Martinsville Bulletin, and he was also the owner and operator of Fackler’s Lawn Care before he became disabled. He took pride in every yard he landscaped, and his customers often expressed their amazement and gratitude for a job more than well done.
His obsession was Kart racing. Jeff and his brother, Jerry, raced under Fackler II Kart racing for over 20 years. Jeff held track championships at Stateline, Madison and Providence speedways.
Jeff is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Lisa Fackler; daughter, Jessica Fackler; stepson, Timothy Ring; two granddaughters, Cheyenne Geramita and Emily Ring; two brothers, Jerry Fackler (Mary) of Bassett and Barry Fackler (Cindy) of Collinsville; four sisters, Donna Byrd (Ricky) of Martinsville, Vickie McDaniel (Ricky) of Collinsville, Lindy Collins of Martinsville and Kelly Fackler of Mount Juliet, Tennessee. Jeff also leaves behind his sidekick that stayed by his side until the end, his fur-baby, his dog “Buddy.”
