Mr. Michael Dudash, age 81, of Stuart, Virginia (formerly of Alabama) passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mount Airy, North Carolina. He was born is Duquesne, Pennsylvania on April 9, 1940 to the late, Joseph Dudash and Mary Pollack Dudash. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hughes Leib; one granddaughter, Dolly Sandoval; and two siblings, Dolores Dudash Freeman and Joseph Dudash. Mr. Dudash faithfully served in the United State Army and then later retired from the United States Air Force as communications specialist. He began his Air Force career at Selfridge Air Force Base in Michigan and then serving at Maxwell Air Force Base and Gunter Air Force Base, both in Alabama. He had a rewarding career, receiving many awards and accolades. He loved his family, once the great grandchildren came along, he was affectionately called “The Great”.
Mr. Dudash is survived by his four children, Steven Sandoval, Michael Dudash, Shaun Dudash, and Christine Argo and husband, William; eleven grandchildren, Kellina Sandoval, Jack Sandoval, Chuck Sandoval, Dolan Dudash, Mary Dudash, Ryan Smurthwainte, Kayla Schrader, Kaitlyn Schrader, Maggie Osborne, Jenna Argo, and Wyatt Argo; two great-grandchildren, Piper Sandoval, and Roman Warren; two sisters, Deanie Connor and Bernardine Holtz; and several nieces and nephews.
