Ada Jones Branson

Mrs. Ada Jones Branson, age 95, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at her home.  She was born in Surry County on July 15, 1924 to the late James Columbus and Eliza Easter Jones.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are daughter Bessie Surratt; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Janet Branson, Jerry and Darlene Branson; grandchildren, Marie and Chris Hellier, Sheila and Darrell Ferguson, Jaymee and Jeff Chandler, Johnny and Chasity Surratt, Kevin Davis, J.T. Branson; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Branson was preceded in death by her  husband James Willie Branson; daughter Margaret Hanks, sons-in-law Rudy Woods, Beauford Hanks, Jimmy Surratt; granddaughter, Brittany Branson; grandson; Landon Branson; great-great granddaughter Viola Gilley; brothers, Jerry and James Jones and a sister Ruth Bowman.  Due to the limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a private graveside service will be held at Skyline Memory Gardens.
