Mr. Adam “Casey” Marshall, 29 of Mount Airy, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 2, 2021. Mr. Marshall was born in Surry County on March 4, 1992 to David Raymond Marshall and Julie Renee Hamby Jackson. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, and friend to all. He had a passion for playing the guitar and truly loved everyone. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his mother and stepfather, Julie Hamby Jackson and husband, Joseph; father and stepmother, David Raymond Marshall and wife Laura; one brother, Timothy Andrew “Drew” Crotts, one step-brother, James “Bennett” Reeder, two uncles and spouse, Timothy Gray Hamby and wife Nicole Frank, Phillip Ray Hamby; aunts and spouse, Paula Jane Hamby, Rebecca Marshall Young and husband Kevin; maternal grandmother Janie Hamby; along with many friends. Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rufus Charles “R.C.” Hamby; paternal grandparents, Roger and Patsy Marshall; and one cousin, Ezekiel Gray Hamby. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM, at Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Brian Frazier and Pastor Kevin Broyhill officiating. Burial will follow in the Doe Run Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 9, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
