Addis Adeline Bryant

Mrs. Addis Adeline Norman Bryant, 86, of Lambsburg, passed away at her home Friday, January 20, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Surry County, August 22, 1936, to the late Guy Duncan and Sarah Margaret McRoberts Norman.  Mrs. Bryant was the devoted wife of Samuel Bryant for the 66 years of marriage until his death in 2022.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She enjoyed working in her flowers, reading, and genealogy research.  A warm smile would be shared as she reminisced of remembered stories of family and friends.  Her life reflected Proverbs 31.  Mrs. Bryant will be fondly remembered  by her daughters and son’s-in-law, Vera Lynn and Dennis Jefferson, Vivian Carol and Louis Knueppel; a grandson, Daniel “Danny” Jefferson and wife Heather; great-grandchildren, Jenna Jefferson and Annsley Puckett; and a sister, Pat Atkins; and a sister-in-law, Marie Norman.  In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by five sisters, Marie Cranford, Pearl Galyean, Maretta Bryant, Ruth Norman, and Mae Norman; and two brothers Thomas and Marvin Norman.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2023, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Holder officiating.  Burial will follow in the Edwards-Upchurch Cemetery in Lambsburg.  The family will accept friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  They would also like to express their deepest appreciation to Haley Cockerham and the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the kindness and assistance given to Mrs. Bryant during her illness.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
