Albert Ray Henderson

Mr. Albert Ray Henderson, 79, of State Road, NC, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. He was born December 15, 1944, to the late Raymond Clinton and Grace Leigh Johnson Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary “Brenda” Nixon Henderson; his daughter, Christina Lashmit; and his brother and sister-in-law, James Leroy and Virginia Henderson.

            Left to cherish his memories are his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Scott Sanders; his son-in-law, Keith Lashmit; grandchildren, Alisha Hope Sanders, Beth Amanda Lashmit, and Matthew McCray Sanders; niece and her husband, Loretta and Tracy Gregory; and nephew, James David Henderson; and his special canine companion, “Princess Snowball.”

Mr. Henderson was retired from R.J. Reynolds, was an avid musician, who loved guitars, and loved traveling. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 18, 2024, in the Mountain Park Cemetery with Rev. Tim Henderson officiating. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Henderson family. In Lieu of flowers, memorials maty be made to The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson NC 27017.
