Aldie Junior Pack

Mr. Aldie Junior “Buck” Pack, 78, of 403 Norman Road, Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 1, 2016, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Pack was born November 18, 1937, in Surry County, the son of the late Elijah and Elsie McMillian Pack. Buck retired from Bassett Furniture after many years of service. He is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Doris Ann Pack of Winston-Salem, Beatrice Pack of Ararat, VA, and Michelle and John Hall of Mount Airy; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Junior Pack of Ararat, VA, and Jeffery and April Pack of Andrews, SC; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bell Jones of Mount Airy and Barbara JoAnn Pack of Ararat, VA; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Lloyd Gene and Barbara Ann Pack of Mount Airy and Jimmy Columbus Pack of Pilot Mountain; and a special niece, Rachel Thomas and her husband, Mickey, of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pack was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Pack Bond; and a sister, Kathleen Epperson. The funeral service will be held Friday, November 4, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Brother Don Collins and the Rev. Rickey Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Grove Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
