Alene Mabel Hill

Mrs. Alene Mabel Jones Hill, age 99, of Mt. Airy passed away on Sunday, October, 7, 2018 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. She was born on September 13, 1919 to the late Robert Yancy and Sarah Lou Carson Jones. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will truly be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are a son, Robert (R.C.) Hill; daughter, Lucille Hill Edwards; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grand-children and eight great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Hill as well as five brothers, four sisters and a daughter-in-law Becky Hill and a son-in-law Gray Edwards.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Michael Smith.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
