Alfred Lee Kegley

Mr. Alfred Lee Kegley, age 87 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Hillsville Rehab and Healthcare Center.  He was born in Cripple Creek, VA on June 19, 1936, to the late Burlie Kegley and Mary Sexton Kegley.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lee Ann Dowell.  Mr. Kegley enjoyed bowling, fishing, and restoring old cars.

       Surviving is his loving wife of 65 years, Estelle Ruff Kegley of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne and Rex Smith of Meadows of Dan, Brenda and Mike McCarthy of Fries; six grandchildren, Jacie Bohdel, Selena Goodson, Alan Smith, Dwayne Smith, Jennifer Marx, Amber Burcham; and twenty great grandchildren.

       Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Ron Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
