Algean Key Badgett

Mrs. Algean Key Badgett, age 81 of Mt. Airy, passed away at her home March 17, 2007. Mrs Badgett was born in Surry County, December 26, 1925 to the late Alex Key Sr. and Vera Smith Key. She was retired from Spencer's and was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Eddie Haymore, Martha and Jacob Cave all of Mt. Airy and Barbara and Ed Jordan of Carolina Beach; grandchildren and spouses, Cam Lopes and husband Pete, Greg Jordan and fiancee Luann Kirby, Shane Slate and wife Ann, Amanda Draughn and husband Dale, Jarrod Haymore and fiancee Mandy Williams, Gina Fowler and husband Barry, and Wes Cave; great grandchildren, Cole and Olivia Fowler and Mackenzie Lopes; a sister, Mary King of Mt. Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, James Key and wife Fern of Mt Airy. In addition to her parents Mrs. Badgett was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Price Badgett and a brother, Alex Key, Jr.. A memorial service will be conducted Monday, March 19, 2007 at 3:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Todd Byrd. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Badgett, Sunday afternoon from 1:30 until 4:00 PM and at Moody Funeral Home in Mt Airy, Monday from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
