Mrs. Alice Vernice Pack Edwards age 70 of 318 Cedar Lane, Cana, VA, widow of Mr. Isaac Roy Edwards,
Sr. passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She
wasborn April 2, 1941 in Surry County to the late Fred and Essie Lambert Pack. She was a homemaker and was
a member of Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are five daughters and four sons-in-law,
Alice Caviness and Richard of Austinville, VA, Leona Childress and Allan of Dobson, Polly Simmons and
Corey of Cana, VA, Danielle and Gerald Johnson, Cana, VA, and Amanda Wall, Lowgap, four sons and
daughters - in-laws, Herman Edwards and Lisa of Lowgap, NC, Hank Edwards and Deana of Hillsville VA,
Howard Edwards and Sharonette of Lambsburg, VA, and Isaac Roy Edwards, Jr. and Tanyia of Laurel Fork,
VA, fifteen grandchildren, Jessica Bowen and husband, Aaron, Mark Edwards, Matthew Edwards, Kaitlyn
Edwards,Roxton Edwards, Emmalee Caviness, Madelyn Caviness, Morgan Wall, Forrest Johnson, Laken
Johnson, Ethan Edwards, Adam Cox, Lynn Cox, Kimberly Cox, and Octavia Simmons, one great grandchild,
Caden Stone, eight sisters and six brothers-in-law, Barbara and Henry Cromer, Mt. Airy, Sylvia and Junior
Gwyn, Mt. Airy, Betty and George Edwards, Lambsburg, VA, Letty and Bruce Edwards, Lambsburg, VA,
Evon Lawson, Pinnacle, Carla Edwards, Lambsburg, VA, Brenda and Mac Wagner, Mt. Airy, Joann and
Wayne Jones, Mt. Airy, and a brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Jean Pack, Pinnacle. In addition to her
parents, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by a twin brother, Vernon Pack and a sister, Shirlene Poindexter.
Funeral services will be held-2:00 pm Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist
Church conducted by Elder Arwood Edwards, Elder Lacy Gates and Elder David Edwards.. Burial will follow
in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 pm Monday night at Chestnut Grove Primitive
Baptist Church where her body will remain until time of the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials
