Allen Lawrence Cain

Mr. Allen Lawrence Cain, 65, of 142 Mills Road, Mount Airy, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010, at his home. He was born June 27, 1944, in Surry County, to the late Raymond Lawrence and Ila Nunn Cain. He retired from Hanes Brands, Inc. and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Helen Felts of Dobson, Judy Bingman and her friend, Teddy Brickell, Phyllis and Dennis Joines, and Linda and Jerry Goad, all of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Nancy Cain of Shallotte; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Wanda Arrington of Winston-Salem. The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Lanny Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home, and other times at the home of his sister, Linda Goad, 144 Holly Avenue, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
