Allie Mae Rorrer

            Mrs. Allie Rogers Jefferson Rorrer, age 82, of Stuart, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Sovah Health of Martinsville.  She was born in Patrick County on March 22, 1936 to the late Blaine Shockley Rogers and Rachel Eula Creasey Rogers.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, James Elliott Jefferson; her 2nd husband, John William “Chappy” Rorrer; and one sister, Willa Kay Hubbard.  Mrs Rorrer had retired from Bassett-Walker.

            Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald and Nancy Jefferson of Hubert, NC, Bobby Jefferson of Stuart; two grandchildren, Danny Lee Jefferson, Amanda Jones and husband, David; one great granddaughter, Addison Jones; one sister, Nancy Harris of Collinsville; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Frances Rogers of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews.

            Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Mark Collins officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
