Allison Marie Thomas

Ms. Allison Marie Thomas, 34, of 126 Florida Avenue, Mount Airy, passed away Friday afternoon, November 27, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Ms. Thomas was born July 23, 1975, in Surry County, to Russell Lee and Nancy Culler Thomas. Allison graduated from North Surry High School in 1993. She was a certified nursing assistant and a medical technician with several healthcare agencies and was a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a son, Las Wyatt Thomas of the home; her parents, Russell Lee and Nancy Culler Thomas of the home; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Joseph Glass and Amy and Trent Holder, all of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Susan Thomas of Mount Airy; several nieces and nephews, Andrea Thomas, Casey Thomas, Emily Glass, Adam Glass, Caleb Holder, and Nathan Holder, all of Mount Airy; and a stepgrandmother, Nancy B. Culler of Mount Airy. Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Garnett Culler; and her paternal grandparents, Las Wyatt and Florence Montgomery Thomas. The funeral service will be held Monday, November 30, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Tommy Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Randy and Susan Thomas, 197 Kennesaw Lane, Mount Airy.
