Alma Estaline Bingman

Mrs. Alma Estaline Coe Bingman, 74, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, February 9, 2021, at the home of her daughter.  She was born in Surry County on July 23, 1946 one of eight children born to the late Ralph Henry Coe and Ila Marie Tate Coe.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and David Goins; son, Michael Bingman; stepson and wife, Charles and Shannon Bingman; two grandchildren; Chris and Asia Voigt, and Chase Goins; three great-grandchildren, Ireland Voigt, Britain Voigt, and Elias Goins; sister, Doris Hayes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Charlene Coe, Ralph and Dot Coe, and Tony Coe; numerous nieces and nephews, and a special dog, Scotty.  In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gray Bingman; two sisters, Patricia Marie Coe Hylton, and Juanita Coe Gilley; and a brother, James “JC” Coe.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dr. David Sparks officiating.  A special thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care and all the other care givers for all the love and support given to Alma and the family during her illness.  There will not be any formal visitation for Mrs. Bingman at the funeral home.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Bingman family.
