Miss Alma Annie Bledsoe, 90, of Dobson passed away Tuesday August 22, 2006 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Surry County on January 20, 1916 to the late Henderson and Martha Edmonds Bledsoe. Miss Bledsoe was a homemaker and the oldest living member of New Home Church of Christ. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law Myrtle and Pete Carroll of Dobson; two sisters-in-law Ila Mae O'Neal of Dobson and Betty Bledsoe of Mt. Airy; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Bledsoe was preceded in death by two sisters Mallie Simpson and Treva Stanley and four brothers Clyde Bledsoe, Otis Bledsoe Paul Bledsoe and Lonnie Bledsoe. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Thursday August 24, 2006 at New Home Church of Christ with Brother Tim Smith and Pastor Dennis Barnett officiating and burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM Thursday until the hour of the service.
