Alma Lee France Marion

Mrs. Alma Lee France Marion, age 79 of Mt. Airy, widow of Clifton Marion, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Marion was born in Surry County, March 17, 1928 to Aaron Thomas and Lucy Ella Ledford France. Mrs. Marion retired from Spencer's and attended Highland Park Baptist Church. She was a loving sister who will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Surviving is a sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Glenn Utt of Mt. Airy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cecil and Pansy France and Jimmy and Joan France all of Mt. Airy; and Fred and Polly France of Ararat, VA and Lorraine Hiatt of Mt. Airy. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Marion was preceded in death by a brother Billy Joe France. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 16, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Stewart Roten and Bill Hiatt. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
