Alma Flora McReynolds

Mrs. Alma Flora McReynolds, 83, widow of William McReynolds, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 20, 2010, with her loving daughters by her bedside. She was born December 2, 1926, in Johnson County, IL, to the late John Henry and Bertha Mae Anderson Flora. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Joyce Coe of Elkin, Donna VanWynsberghe of Summerton, SC, Roy Lee Shores of Elkin, and Larry Shores of Curlew, Washington State; eighteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruby Noble of Peoria, IL, and Hazel George of Illinois. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McReynolds was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Shores Wilmoth; and a son, Fred Shores, Jr. A service to celebrate her life will be held at her home, 200 Lyles Street Apartment 20B on Sunday June 27, 2010 at 5:00 pm by Chaplin Stewart Roten. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030. The family is being served by Moody-Davis Funeral Home.
