Almeda Gay Mullins

Ms. Almeda Gay Mullins, age 66, of Stuart, Virginia, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at her home.  She was born on August 31, 1955, in Patrick County, Virginia to the late Charlie and Ruby Boyd Dalton.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby Handy; four brothers, William, James, Alfred, and Elmo Dalton. Almeda was a loving mother, grandmother, and took special pride in loving all her grandbabies.

        Surviving are three children, Bonita Vipperman (J.R.) of Wise, VA, Charmin Gilley of Patrick Springs, VA, Robbi Campbell (Faith) of Stuart, VA; nineteen grandchildren; three special grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, and Isaiah Handy all of the home; twenty three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Allen Lawless of Guilford, NC, Charles Dalton (Deb) of Meadows of Dan, VA; four sisters, Janet Martin of Stuart, VA, Linda Dalton of Meadows of Dan, VA, Jeannie Vincenti (Bonssi) of Meadows of Dan, VA, Freeda Haskins of Belton, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

        A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in the Dalton Family Cemetery with Rev. J.R. Vipperman officiating.  There will be no formal visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Almeda G. Mullins Memorial Fund P.O.
