Mrs. Almeta Audrey Moles Carson, 93 of Mount Airy, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy. Mrs. Carson was born April 6, 1927 in Floyd County, Virginia to the late Grover and Arlie Moles Moles. Almeta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She was a faithful member of Firehouse Ministries church as long as her health allowed. Left to cherish her memorials are her daughter, Renda Jones Worrell; son and daughter-in-law, Terry Carson and wife Peggy; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Donald Carson and Anita; step-daughter-in-law, Becky Carson; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Melva Moles Stanley. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carson was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel David Carson, two step-son, Jerry Carson and Ronald Carson; one grandson, Jamie Worrell; three sisters, Venedith Moles Boyd, Jeneva Moles Jones, Gana Moles Goad; two brother, Deward Moles and C.D. Moles. No formal service will be held at this time. Moody Funeral Services of Mount Airy is serving the family.
