Alva Rae Lloyd Dixon

Mrs. Alva Rae Lloyd Dixon, age 91, of State Road, NC passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, in Dobson, NC.  She was born in Surry County on March 18, 1931, to the late Frank Lloyd and the late Ruby Shores Lloyd.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Dixon; brothers, Willie Lloyd, Samuel Lloyd; sisters, Faye Barker, Alma Todd (her twin sister), and Mary Lloyd.  Surviving are her sisters, Janie Dimmette, Pansy Layell, Jean Lloyd; brothers, Foy Lloyd and Rev. Claude Lloyd.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Charity Hill Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Crestwood Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Brian Cardwell and Rev. Claude Lloyd will officiate the services.  The family will receive friends at Charity Hill Baptist Church on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of her service at 2:00 PM.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Dixon family.
