Alvin William Beasley

         Mr. Alvin William Beasley, age 93 of Westfield, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, July 06, 2018 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born in Stokes County on June 29, 1925, to the late Alvis V. Beasley and Elsie Dunkley Beasley.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, John Alvis Beasley; his daughter, Kathy Dawn Beasley; and one sister, Thelma George.  Mr. Beasley faithfully served in the United States Army during World War II.  He, alongside his wife, owned and operated Beasley’s Garage on Collinstown Road.  Alvin was a wonderful husband, loving father, and proudly served his community.

        Mr. Beasley is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lovis Harman Beasley of the home and many dear friends in their community.

        Funeral services for Mr. Beasley will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Collinstown Presbyterian Church with burial following in the church cemetery.  Military Rites provided by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church on Sunday afternoon.  Moody Funeral Home in Stuart has been entrusted with the arrangements and online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
