Alvis David Goins

Mr. Alvis David Goins, Age 82 of 608 East Pine St. Mt. Airy, NC. widower of the late Mamie Lockaby Goins passed away Thursday November 20, 2008 at his home. Mr. Goins was born March 6, 1926 in Surry County to the late Robert and Bertha Goings Goins, he was retired from Cross Creek Apparel was a member of the Flat Rock Ruritan Club and was a retired volunteer fireman with the Four Way Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and several sisters-in-law. A graveside service will be held Tuesday November 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Skyline Memory Gardens with services conducted by Mr. Fred Badgett and Mr. Gilmer Johnson. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy will be assisting the Goins Family.
