Alvis Aaron Pell

Mr. Alvis "Al" Aaron Pell, 60, of 710 Greenhill Road, Mount Airy, passed away Monday morning, November 9, 2009, at his home as a result of colon cancer. Mr. Pell was born December 13, 1948, in Surry County, to Lucy Simmons Pell and the late Paul Pell. Al was a realtor at Town and Country Realty for many years and a member of Bannertown Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Lucy Simmons Pell of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Sharon Pell of Anaheim Hills, CA; and special friends, Sharon Smith, Bobby and Libby Lovill, Charlie and Martha Vaughn, Allen and Allison Johnson, Steve and Jill Shepard, Ted and Faith Ashby, and Dr. Borden and Barbara Hooks, all of Mount Airy. A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Westfield Baptist Church Cemetery, with Bobby Bradley officiating. No formal visitation will be held at the funeral home.
