Amber Dawn Love

On October 27, 2007 our precious Amber Dawn Love, 30 of Mt. Airy, North Carolina was unexpectedly called home to be with our Lord. She was preceded in death by her very special grandfather, O'Brien Hayes. She is survived by her two angelic daughters Destiney Shockley, 11 and Desiree Shockley, 7 of the home, and their father, Thomas Shockley of Dobson. She is also survived by her beloved parents Shawn and Mariam Brooks of State Road, a brother, Richard Love of Thurmond, a sister, Dorothy Norman of South Carolina and a brother, Jeffrey Brooks of Elkin. Also surviving is her loving grandmother and dearest friend, Dorothy Hayes of Mtn. Park and loving grandmother, Marie Cole of Roaring River, as well as grandparents Zane and Mabel Brooks of Jonesville. Other surviving relatives include her aunts and uncles, Bonnie and Larry Tucker of State Road, O.D. and Susie Hayes of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, Sandy Webster of Yadkinville and Shane Brooks of Jonesville. She is survived by seven nieces, Andrea Norman, Brittany Norman, Leigha Norman, Jordyn Norman, Carrie Love, Charity Love, and Kim Barker, as well as three nephews William Norman, Chad Davis, and Jason Bosley. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. at Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Dobson on Thursday November 1, 2007, with burial to follow in the Mtn. Park Cemetery. The services will be conducted by Pastor Rodney Luffman. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 until time of the service at Moody-Davis. There will be a private family viewing on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Open Arms Outreach Ministries, 449 Andy Griffin Parkway Suite 600, Mt. Airy, NC 27030, of which she was a charter member. She was a beautiful flower plucked prematurely, but who is now part of God's bouquet, and someday we will all join her and the floral arrangement will be complete.
