Andrew Jackson "Jackie" Crotts

Mr. Andrew Jackson “Jackie” Crotts, 78, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday morning, October 8, 2020, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Crotts was born November 11, 1941, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Jonah and Patty Rakes Crotts.  Jackie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend that will be deeply missed.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 55 years, Lorenda “June” Duggins Crotts; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wesley and Arlene Crotts, Jimmy and Ann Crotts, and Johnny and Lynn Crotts; his grandchildren, Ann and Eric Klein, Melanie and Eli Potter, Austin Danley, Joshua and Ally Crotts, Justin Crotts, Jasmine Crotts, Hailey Crotts, and Isaac Crotts; his great-grandchildren, Kory Martin, Andrew Martin, Avigail Klein, Skylar Crotts, and Scarlett Crotts; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and the Rev. Frank Danley of Mount Airy; a brother and two sisters-in-law, the Rev. Ted and Ann Crotts and Wanda Crotts, all of Mount Airy; a special niece, Kay Danley; as well as other nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Crotts was preceded in death by four sisters, Bertha Stevens, Ann Goins, Polly Tolbert, and Shirley Crotts (infant); and two brothers, Bobby Crotts and Alexander Crotts.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Hank Robertson and the Rev. Frank Danley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Blackwater Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
