Andy Lee Vipperman

Mr. Andy Lee Vipperman, 37, of 860 South Franklin Road, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Vipperman was born November 10, 1971, in Forsyth County, to the Julia Brinkley Vipperman and the late Oza Wendell Vipperman. He was an I.B.E.W electrician and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Jennings Vipperman of the home; a son, Daniel Lee Vipperman of the home and his fiancee, Ashley Layne Holyfield, of Mount Airy; his mother, Julia Brinkley Vipperman of Pilot Mountain; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gregory Wendell and Deborah Vipperman of Pilot Mountain and Gary Dean and Rhonda Vipperman of Mount Airy; his grandmother, Beulah Brinkley of Pilot Mountain; his mother-in-law, Pauline Jennings of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Mr. Vipperman was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Harvey Jennings, Sr. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Simmons Grove Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Barry Clement and the Rev. Eugene Brinkley, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the family.
