Angela "Snookie" Denise Rorrer

         We are sad to announce that Miss Angela Denise “Snookie” Rorrer, age 47 of Patrick Springs passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 after struggling with the effects of a stroke for 7 years and battling cancer.  She was born on February 22, 1973 in Martinsville.  She was preceded in death by her father, James Samuel “Sammy” Rorrer; her maternal grandparents, Buddy and Ruth Goard; her paternal grandparents, Greely and Nancy Rorrer; and her step-grandparents, Clarence and Mary Griffin. 

         Angela was disabled most of her life, but she had a great memory, and was a very loving person and never met a stranger.  Snookie will be missed by all those that she touched.  She had a love of jewelry and a big collection of dolls and stuffed animals.  She was a longtime member of Mayo Christian Church in Spencer.

         Surviving are her mother and step-father, Phyllis Goard Griffin and Doug Griffin of the home; step-brothers, James Griffin and wife, Vicki of California, Jared Rorrer and wife, Candace of Florida; her uncles and aunts, Frank and Seldon Goard, Mike Goard and Ginger Smart, Danie and Butch Dilliger, Nora Frances Rorrer, Bobby and Donna Rorrer, Tony Griffin, Judy Stanley, Nancy Spencer; and her cousins, Sandi and Mike Hodge, Scott Goard, Sheri Goard, Darren Cobbler, and Tina and Todd Nelson and a host of other relatives and friends.

         A private graveside service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mayo Christian Church Cemetery, 4949 George Taylor Rd, Spencer, VA 24165 or to Mountain Valley Hospice, 18981 Jeb Stuart Hwy, Stuart, VA 24171.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.  The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice in Stuart for their help during Angela’s final months.
