Angela Dawn Welch

Mrs. Angela Dawn Hunter Welch, age 49, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born in Surry County on June 8, 1971 to Frances Butcher Hatcher and the late Dwight Hunter. She was a loving wife and mother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are her husband, James Welch; son, Cody Thompson; brother and sister-in-law, John and Debora Hunter; aunts and uncles, Arthur Heller, Clarence and Pricilla Butcher, Pat Butcher, Douglas Butcher, Judy Jones as well as her mother, Frances Hatcher.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. David Joyce.  Burial will follow in Willis Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the funeral home.
