Ann Johnson Griggs

Mrs. Ann Johnson Griggs, age 83, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Griggs was born on August 24, 1941, in Surry County to the late Edward Lawrence Johnson and Donna Lee Anderson Johnson. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by the many that knew her. Mrs. Griggs was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. Mrs. Griggs is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, DeDee Hartman and Raleigh, Bridgette Council; grandchildren and their spouses, Corey Council and Mollie, Courtney Davis and Matt; brother and sister-in-law, Leonard Johnson and Phyllis. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griggs was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Harvey Griggs. The family will hold a Celebration of Life service on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, at 3 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Sarah Morris officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
