Annice Ann Parks

        Mrs. Annice Ann Bowman Parks, age 73 of Stuart, Virginia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at her home surrounded by family.  She was born in Patrick County on October 19, 1944, to the late George Bowman and Dorothy Goins Bowman.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Bowman.  Annice will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mama, granny, sister, aunt, and friend.  She took joy in being granny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was greatly loved by all who knew her.

        Mrs. Parks is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Wilmer Wayne Parks of the home; five children, Vicky Pilson and husband Barry of Stuart, Janet Hardin and husband, Steve of Claudville, Debra Parks of Stuart, Roy Parks and wife, Alberta of Martinsville, and Ronald Parks of Stuart; five grandchildren, Brandon Light and wife, Cynthia, Amber Light,  Steve Hardin, III, Heather Bowers and Amber Adkins; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Edwards of Pilot; two brothers, Billy Bowman of Mount Airy, North Carolina, and Jimmy Bowman of Collinsville; nieces and nephews.

        Funeral services for Mrs. Parks will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart, Virginia with Barry Pilson speaking.  Burial will follow in Red Bank Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday morning at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
