Annie Mae McCormick Adams

Mrs. Annie Mae McCormick Adams, 79, of Greensboro, widow of Mr. Stark Graham Adams, passed away on Friday April 4, 2008 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born in Surry County on February 11, 1929 to the late Joseph Woodson and Lillie Hardy Adams. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and a member of Rockford Baptist Church. She is survived by her devoted son, Gary Adams of Greensboro; two half sisters, Linda McCormick of Winston-Salem and Luralene Banner of Midway City, California and a sister-in-law Dorothy McCormick of Dobson. A graveside service conducted by Rev. William Hambrick will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at Richmond Hill Baptist Church cemetery with burial to follow. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her adoptive parents Les and Betty Rumley. Moody-Davis Funeral Home of Dobson is serving the Adams family.
