Mrs. Annie Reeves Bolen Watson, 91, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020, at her home.  Mrs. Watson was born May 8, 1929, in Surry County, one of eleven children born to the late Otto and Nettie Shelton Reeves.  Ann retired as a quality control coordinator from Russell Corporation after many years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Elkin.  A wonderful, strong child of the Depression, Ann excelled at everything she did, and most of all she loved her family dearly.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Shay Helms Bolen of Woodlawn, VA; her stepchildren, Avery Norman Watson, Jr. and Glenda Watson of Mooresville and Donna and Randy Anderson of Jonesville; her grandchildren, Michael Todd and Kellee Bolen of Woodbridge, VA, and Dustin Travis Bolen of Galax, VA; her great-grandchildren, Katherine Bolen, Reece Bolen, Sasha Bolen, and Addison Bolen, all of Woodbridge, VA, and Mina Bolen and Griffin Bolen, both of Galax, VA; several stepgrandchildren; her sisters, Ruth Reeves Draughn and Minnie Reeves Loflen, both of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale Carroll Bolen; her second husband, Avery Norman Watson; and eight brothers and sisters.  A private service of worship and celebration of Annie’s life will be held for her immediate family.  Interment will take place in the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and compassion shown by her special caregivers, Arlene Crotts (niece) and Sharon Jenkins.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Elkin, 110 Gwyn Avenue, Elkin, NC  28621.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
