Annie Mae Flinchum Gibson

Mrs. Annie Mae Flinchum Gibson, 75, of Cana, VA, passed away Thursday morning, December 23, 2021, at Northern Regional Hospital. Mrs. Gibson was born August 17, 1946, in Carroll County, VA, the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Ellen Mae Vaughn Flinchum. Annie retired from Proctor-Silex Inc. after many years of service. She is survived by two sisters, Linda Tate and Brenda Vass, both of Cana, VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Gibson; a half-brother, Fred Flinchum; and a niece, Shyrl Annette Tate. A graveside service will be held Monday, December 27, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Gary Sawyers officiating. No formal visitation will be held. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
