Annie Jacqueline East Worrell

Mrs. Annie Jacqueline East Worrell Age 81 of 120 Atkins Rd. Mt. Airy, NC. widow of the late Alva Lee Worrell passed away Wednesday August 30, 2006 at the Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Worrell was born January 7, 1925 in Surry County to the late James William and Bessie Cook East she was retired from Renfro Corporation and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law Mike and Debbie Worrell of Mt. Airy, Two granddaughters Beth Worrell Bowman and husband Benny of Mt. Airy and Amy Worrell and special friend Jason Collins of Mt. Airy, One great grandchild Emma Grace Bowman of Mt. Airy and one sister Dorothy Mae Jones of Mt. Airy. In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Worrell was preceded in death by a sister Myrtle Hawks and by five brothers Hassel East, Carl East, Odom East, Clyde Cook and Walter Cook. Funeral services will be held Friday September 1, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Tommy Floyd and Chaplain Todd Byrd with burial to follow in the Indian Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night 7 to 9 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
