Anthony "Tony" Lance Lawson

Mr. Anthony Lance “Tony” Lawson, age 78, of Dobson, NC passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Surry County on July 22, 1943, to the late John Lester Lawson and the late Mary Etta Brooks Lawson.  He was retired from Proctor Silex in Mt. Airy, NC, and was a Deacon and member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Tony was also a retired volunteer fireman from Skull Camp Fire Department.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Lockie Smith; brothers, Cleo Lawson, Fred Lawson, David Lawson.  Surviving is his wife, Mary Lou Crouse Lawson; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Jamey Jenkins; grandchildren, Laken and Tyler Shelton, Jaden Jenkins, Kyley Brindle; sister, Mary Ruth Turner; sister-in-law, Imogene “Polly” Lawson White; special nephew, Wayne and his wife, Gina Lawson; special niece, Paige and her husband, Mike Gillespie and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, January 30, 2022, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Arlis Thomas & Rev. Scott Wilson will officiate the services.  The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM the time of his service. Tony was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He always had a smile on his face, never met a stranger, and always showed his love for the Lord.
