Anzley Lee Chilton

Mr. Anzley Lee Chilton, age 77 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Chilton was born in Surry County, July 28, 1930 to Archie Dee and Molly Slate Chilton. He was retired from NC Granite Corporation, was a life long farmer and loved auctioneering. Surviving are his loving wife, Inez Flippin Chilton of the home; a brother and sister-in-law, Bernie and Patsy Chilton, a sister-in-law, Pearl Chilton all of Mt. Airy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chilton was preceded in death by sisters, Frances Jessup and Audrey Draughn and a brother, Haakon Chilton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Albion Missionary Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Odell Sisk and Bro. Ronald Jessup. Burial will follow in Albion Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at Moody Funeral Home.
