Archie Dean Tolbert

Mr. Archie Dean Tolbert, 77, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born in Surry County on February 18, 1943 to the late William “Ed” and Lottie Newman Tolbert.  Mr. Tolbert was owner-operator of Sunset Motors, and a member of Union Hill Friends Church.  He is survived by his wife, Charldean Inman Tolbert; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Junior Utt; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff Tolbert, Todd and Patricia Tolbert; grandchildren, Alicia Spurlin, Landon Tolbert, Dustin Utt, Kasie Gibson, and Corbin Utt; great grandchildren, Caroline Spurlin, and Sawyer Spurlin and one on the way; sister, Margaret Marvin; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Ann Tolbert; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Tolbert was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Robin Tolbert; a sister, Mildred Gilley. 

Due to the limitation of numbers for public gatherings at this time, this funeral, visitation and burial service at Temple Baptist Church will be private.
