Ardith Sue Sechrist Barr

Ms. Ardith Sue Sechrist Barr, of Mount Airy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 1, 2021, at Northern Regional Hospital. She was born on January 27 in Forsyth County to the late Ofra and Justeen Gardner Sechrist. Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Penny Newsome and fiancé Jeff Ross; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark and Beverly Barr, and Bryan Barr; eight grandchildren, Josie and Dustin Bowman, James Gammons, III, Zachary Barr, Corey Barr, Jamie Barr, Dianna Chaney, Justenna Chaney, and Summer Barr; three great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Sechrist; brother and sisters-in-law, Mitchell and Barbara Sechrist, Bonnie Sechrist, and Ginger Sechrist; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Barr was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alisha Chaney; sister, Shirley Ann Sechrist Holder, and by three brothers, Gary Sechrist, Jim Sechrist, and Brady “Big Boy” Sechrist. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Chris Langham officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Barr family.
