Arlene Huff Brim (96) went home to be with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ. She passed away at the Gray Brier Rehabilitation & Nursing Facility in Trinity, North Carolina on the evening of Wednesday, August 7, 2024. The daughter of Walter Lee Huff and Nancy Horton Huff, Arlene was born on December 22, 1927. She graduated from Mt. Airy High School in 1947 and became an excellent cook and homemaker, a caring mother and an avid thrift-shopper. She loved the lord, faithfully attended church and read her bible daily. Visiting with family was the highlight of her days. She adored her children and grandchildren and the sound of their voices calling her Momma, Grand-Mommy and Great Grand-Mommy always made her smile. Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Elmer Avis Huff and her beloved aunt Estella Horton Nester. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Gail Brim and Elizabeth Jane Brim and her son Taylor Bausie Brim, Jr; grandchildren LeeAnn Loggins Keen (Chris) and Stefanie Michelle Gravely (Tony Carter); a great grand-daughter Baylee Verabeth Keen; a sister-in-law Hilda Blue Huff; dear friends Henry and Jacqueline Hinson and extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, 208 West Pine Street in Mount Airy, North Carolina. The family will receive friends one hour prior at Moody Funeral Home. The Reverend Tony McCanless will officiate with burial at Mount Herman Church Cemetery following the funeral. Arlene will be lovingly remembered as a compassionate, caring and faithful Christian by her loved ones, friends and all those who knew her.
