Arlene Louise Honeycutt Smith

Mrs. Arlene Smith, 81, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday night, December 22, 2022, at her home.  Mrs. Smith was born July 26, 1941, in Surry County to the late Herbert and Effie Honeycutt.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are sons and daughter-in-law, Kent Smith, Kevin Smith (Adrienne); grandchildren, Dustin Smith, Jordan Smith (Rochelle), Tabitha Johnson; great-grandchildren, Steven, Lucas, and Katlyn; brother, Franklin Honeycutt.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a son, Greg Smith; sisters, Frances Hilton, and Jeanie Easter.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Thomas Bailey.  Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:30am until time for the service at the funeral home.
