Arliss E. (Jeff) Radford

Mr. Arliss E. (Jeff) Radford, 72, of Laurel Fork, VA, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Laurel Meadows Nursing Center. Mr. Radford was born March 14, 1935, in Floyd County, VA, son of the late Hardin Otis and Lorean Ola Epperson Radford. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 and was a member of Hills Grove Baptist Church in Claudville, VA. He is survived by four brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold and Imogene Radford of Mount Airy, Alvin and Frances Radford of Ararat, VA, and Wendell and Ann Radford and Dale and Wanda Radford, all of Mt. Airy, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday April 6, 2007 at Unity Church in Ararat, VA by Rev. Buford Jessup. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites conducted by Patrick County Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of the service and also after the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Unity Church Cemetery Fund, Unity Church Rd., Ararat, VA 24053. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is assisting the Radford family.
