Armida Hall Rule

Mrs. Armida Hall Rule, 63, of Pilot Mountain, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday night, March 29, 2017. Mrs. Rule was born December 23, 1953, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late James and Alicia Hall. Armida proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. She later graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in accounting. She will always be remembered as a selfless and giving person with a contagious smile. Armida was a dedicated Christian and a member of Westfield Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Rule of Pilot Mountain; a daughter and son-in-law, Alicia “Lynn” and Derek Gooch of Hickory; a son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Amanda C. Rule of Hampstead; three grandchildren, Lily Jeannette Perkins, Samantha Cheryl Rule, and Buddy James Rule; four brothers and sister-in-law, Enrique Marquez, Hector and Rafaela Marquez, Jose Hall and Jaime Hall; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mickey and Bess Jane Love, Rebecca and George Womble, and Samuel James and Kay Rule; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rule was preceded in death by one brother, Armando Hall . A service of worship and celebration of Armida’s life will be held Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 3:00 PM at Westfield Baptist Church, with Dr. Joel Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Pilot Mountain Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 743, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041; or Westfield Baptist Church, 6713 Westfield Road, Westfield, NC 27053. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
